Track inventory on menu items
Optional recipes on menu items auto-deduct ingredients when a sale is paid.
For Owners, managers
Step-by-step
- 1Create ingredients under Inventory → Ingredients first.
- 2Open Menu → edit an item → turn on Track Inventory.
- 3Save the item if it’s new, then edit again to add recipe lines (ingredient + qty).
- 4When the item sells and the order is paid, stock deducts automatically.
- 5Leave Track Inventory off for drinks or items you don’t want to track (e.g. Coke).
Tips
- • Deduction happens on paid sale — not when the kitchen ticket is sent.
- • POS and guest QR cannot sell a tracked item when any recipe ingredient is at 0 or below — restock first.
- • For bottled drinks, track a “Coke Bottle” ingredient with qty 1 in the recipe.
